Installing packages from a DVD
Hi
If I want to install additional packages the Fedora asks for CD's 1, 2 or 3 depending on what's required. However, putting the DVD back in, I am having difficulties getting the O.S to accept the fact that the files are somewhere on the DVD. It wants to see each individual CD. Is there an easy way around this? I'm sure there's a known work around for such an issue. Thanks |
There should be a way to set your sources to your dvd. Have a look at the package manager section in your menu or control center.

Try putting your DVD in the DVD player and letting Fedora recognize it and put the Disc icon on your desktop so that the OS knows it is a DVD not CD. THEN fire up Add/Remove Applications.
