Hi
I have been trying to install fc4 on a ppc g3 366mhz machine for a couple of days now and getting nowhere.

The install will work eg the install program, I can partition the drive and choose the packages I want, and the installer will go through the whole process. When I reboot, the machine treats the harddrive like it is blank (I get an folder symbol on the screen).

If I rerun the install program, or boot from a live cd, the partitions are still there the machine just wont boot them.

The 1st time I tried to install, I made a 1M apple bootstrap, the 2nd time I let it automatically partition which made an 8m bootstrap.

I am starting to run out of ideas.

Please Help?

In addition, I have booted the system with a live cd and noticed that in the boot partition, in the grub folder, there is only a splash file there and nothing else.

shouldn't there be other info in this folder, and if so how do I get it there
