Installing Eterm

It may be trite to say this, but I am extremely new to Linux. Does Fedora Core come with Eterm? Can I use yum to get it? If so do I need to edit /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources and add a line yum newrpm "url ommitted"? Would it be simply easier to install apt?

Thanks in advance!

It would be easier for you at this point to go here:

http://www.eterm.org/download/

And after downloading the rpm package, do this:

rmp -ivv package-name.rpm

At least until you're familiar with yum and the likes.

I try this above and it didnt work

Some dependencies problems

I have the files below

Eterm-0.9.2-4
imlib2-1.1.0-1
imlib2-devel-1.1.0-1
imlib2-loader_png-1.1.0-1
imlib2-loader_jpeg-1.1.0-1
imlib2-loader_argb-1.1.0-1
libast-0.5-1

I run:

rpm -ivh *.rpm

all files on the same directory and still tells me dependencies problems.
The weird thing is that its asking for the same files.

Anyone has install Eterm on Fedora C1 successfully >?

Dependencies...

Quoting drogo:

"all files on the same directory and still tells me dependencies problems.
The weird thing is that its asking for the same files."

If I understand what you're saying, the files that you listed are the ones that rpm is asking for.

Did you try installing the other files first, and only afterward installing the Eterm rpm?
