Installed FC3 on hard drive that contained SuSE 9.0, now it won't boot
I've been running a server that had SuSE 9.0 installed for about a year, but of late I've been becoming frustrated with the limitations SuSE places on the user. I decided to switch to FC3, and I managed to install it without trouble on another partition (I resized the partition that SuSE was installed on and kept it around, in case I need data on it). However, now I want to boot into my SuSE system and I'm having trouble. I can't access the grub.conf file on the SuSE partition because of an error that says I am not allowed to access it, so I'm can't figure out how what I should put in the grub.conf file on my FC3 partition. I've tried a few things, but I always get the error: file systems are invalid (or something akin to it.) I used ReiserFS for my SuSE partition and ext3 for my FC3 partition. Does anyone know how I might be able to boot into SuSE?
FC3 is able to access a partition formatted with Resiser, and directorys that are not protected I can view fine, as well as see the files inside. Even in knoppix, however, I cannot see the protected files on my SuSE partition.
