Installed ATI drivers but low resolution
think I did get my ati drivers installed on FC1 ... finally. I ran the rpm file from "root" and walked through the setup and received no errors.
Now, my resolution is way too low - all my windows and apps over run the screen. How do I set my resolution on my ati radion 9800XT using KDE desktop/ Fedora Core 1. I thought the set up guide in terminal said to use <control / alt / num+ or num -> but that does nothing. I know the ATI drivers are installed right because in terminal I can type Code:
fglrxinfo OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc then the ATI drivers are configured correctly according to the ATI install guide. Just want to alter my resolution to something higher. Thanks for any info |
Are you sure you've tried using "fglrxconfig" to configure your display settings properly? Maybe your settings ARE incorrect... You might need to change your refresh rates and resolutions.

yes, I know I need to change my resolution- my question is how do you do that? My reolution is like 600x480 or something low like that.
I just want 1280 x 1024  There has to be a way to adjust your resolution some how in Fedora or temrinal...Anyone please? |
It may be too easy to actually work, but just going to preferences and screen resolution is how u change res. :D
