Installation Problem with Fedora 7 x86_64
Hi,
When trying to install Fedora 7 X86_64 version, it fails just before installation of packages starts, asking to report a bug. The problem is LVM.I am trying to install Fedora 7 - 64 on MSI AMD 64 x2 PC.
Upto select package everything is going Okay.
When starting installation shown following error :
Though i am not selecting LVM..In Debug
LVMError : vgchange failed.
Entering...Debugger...
/usr/lib/annconda/lvm.py(64)/vmexec()
-->raise LVM Error , a rgs(0)
I tried different DVDs in different systems. Nothing works. In the case of an X86 DVD it installs fine. This must be bug in Fedora 7 (in anaconda). Is it fixed since ?? Is there a workaround ?? Please help !!!!

Someone with the exact same problem posted HERE but haven't seen a resolution for it. Do you have a RAID configured?

When going through the configuration screens, did you choose to review and edit partitions? Then, did you erase all partitions and start from scratch without using LVM? By default, Fedora uses LVM to manage the partitions

Hi shafty,
I edited the existing swap partition and created a new / partition. I did not delete the existing partitions. Nor did I start from scratch. Does that matter ?? What I should do to install Fedora 7 64 bit ??
