input/output error

hi guys,
i have FC12 and i am getting this error after a while (5 minutes) of starting a big cp or scp

Code:

Sending file modes: C0777 475 track-14.inf
Sink: C0777 475 track-14.inf

Sink: scp: /home/mm_1000GB/wavMUSIC/emmanuel/track-17.inf: Input/output error
/home/mm_1000GB/wavMUSIC/emmanuel/track-16.wav: Input/output error

the command was a
scp -rv /home/mm_1000GB duke32@yyy.xxx.0.2:/home/

since that error, i get the same message even for an ls

Code:

ls

ls: cannot open directory ./rawMUSIC: Input/output error
...

i am trying also to update the system and get an error

Code:

yum update
...

--> Running transaction check

Error: Package: mythweather-0.24-2.fc12.i686 (rpmfusion-free-updates)
          Requires: perl(Date::Manip::TZ)
 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
 You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

by the way, it is still there support for FC12 ???

any ideas about the cp problem ???

thanks in advance,

hector
