Cool init 3 hangs

Probably a simple issue that Im over looking, but, on Fedora Core 3 when I attempt to enter run level 3 by entering init 3 @ the terminal, I get....

Starting pcmcia: ok
starting irq balance:
Starting LM_sensors: ok
Starting automount: no mount points defined: ok
Starting Anacron: ok

Then it Hangs, requiring a hard shutdown.
Any help on this would be cool

Thx

Have you tried 'Ctrl + Alt + F1'? telinit 3 should shutdown the X server which leaves you at virtual terminal 7. Try changing to virtual terminal 1 (Ctrl + Alt + F1).

Just Press Enter. It's not hanging, it's just not showing the prompt is all.
