I think there might be a bug in my acpi

My acpi I think that is how it is spelled not at my pc right now I am work. Well to the question I think I have a bug in it.

I am running Fedora Core 2 on my Laptop Fjuitsu FMV. Runs great everything works right out of the box and have moved on to kernel 2.6.9*

My problem or the bug I have is when I shut down. Everything shuts down beautifully. What happens is when I close my laptop. My computor turns back on. Even if I dont close the Laptop but just push the button that turns of the screen when the screen is down. The laptop turns back on.

Any ideas if this is a bug or where I can go to fix this so it doesnt happen.

does your grub menu.lst have the following part for your Fedora Core Kernel "acpi=ht".

At a guess, try patching the kernel with latest acpi patch available from acpi.sf.net.

Also try adding "acpi_osi=" to your kernel boot argument. (Again, another guess).

HERE is a link to the bugzilla entry for this bug. Disabling acpi or using acpi=ht (which can be essentially the same thing) is not a good idea. Battery life and over-heating can become serious issues if you do so.
