I get this error when I login to my fedora 4
 

Hy guys, I get this error when I login to my fedora core 4,

" Could not loop up internet adress for Vigor31
This wil prevent GNOME from operating correctly
it may be possible to correct the problem by
addeng Vigor31 to the file /etc/hosts. "

What is the best solution to this errro ??
puting the Vigor31 to the /etc/hosts. ?? or somehting els ??

yeah i had the same problem and just solved in yesterday bu doin just that.

putting the line

127.0.0.1 localhost.domain Vigor31

nearly sure thats right just copy the line thats already in there and change localhost to Vigor31

Its a GNOME thing. I am not sure what the host name has to do with the functionality of the DE.

This problem is alredy solved, I just put the adres of my Vigor31 router, and at the right side of the hosts file i wrote the name, its like this :

127.0.0.1 localhost.localhost something like that
192.168.1.245 Vigor31


that solved my problem I gues, couse I dont get this error anymore.
