I cannot play MP3s

I'm sure that this has been beaten to death already, but I cannot find a solution that works for me.

I want to play MP3s (mostly with Amarok) in Fedora Core 5, and I cannot figure out how. I've seen people say to install XMMS, which did no good. Neither did installing kde-multimedia. Am I just not configuring these right, or is there something more that I need to do?

Thanks! Now I can play MP3s! However, I would like to be able to use Amarok to do so, and not exclusively XMMS. How would I do that?

hi spiffytech,

if you setup livna as a repository for yum, you can do
yum install amarok-extras-nonfree
that seemed to work for me.

Does that work for WMA files as well, I am having a hard time finding support for them.
