Question howto install an old kernel on FC3

I am and I just installed FC3 x86_84 but I have to run a eng. program which needs linux2.4.x kernel. I downloaded old kernel (which is kernel-2.4.22) from redhat FC1 download page. Then insert
# rpm -ivh --force kernel-2.4.22-1*
and the terminal gave me this error message:
# kernel < 0:2.6 conflicts with udev-039-10.FC3.7.x86_64
same command with --nodeps:
rpm -ivh --force --nodeps kernel-2.4.22-1* works but i cant create initrd...

How can i install and boot an old kernel on FC3????

What you are trying to do is make FC3 into something else when they deliberately have a 2.6.9.1-667 kernel and udev because it's FC3.

Why are you trying to downgrade the kernel in FC3?

I installed an engineering program to FC3, after installation, when i tried to run the program, got "cannot execute binary file" error. I know that the program runs in linux kernel2.4.x . Now I think dowgrade kernel is the answer for my problem. What should I do?
Thanks

What's the application and what are the support libraries it needs to run on kernel 2.4.* ?

The application is Msc.Marc which is used for nonlineer structure analysis. I dont know what the support libraries are. (and I dont know how i can learn which they are) The application has own installer.
Thanks...
