Unhappy How to verify downloaded iso's

Hi,
I am using FC3. I am using bittorrent to downoad fc4 iso images. I have completed download of 1full CD iso, and 350 on the 2nd CD only to know that the download has gone wrong somewhere. I tried sha1sum on the first iso and it reported as

Code:
$ sha1sum ./Desktop/stentz-binary-i386/FC4-i386-disc1.iso
d0f6ce1e4dde5d25db5500ee7271f4e418ecf877 ./Desktop/stentz-binary-i386/FC4-i386-disc1.iso
Which obiviously dosebn't match with the sha1sum publiushed at the fedora.redhat.com site which says the sum to be FC4-i386-disc1.iso (sha1sum: 3fb2924c8fb8098dbc8260f69824e9c437d28c68)
But the file size matches

Code:
[ashwin@localhost stentz-binary-i386]$ ls -l
total 1086772
-rw-rw-r-- 1 ashwin ashwin 665434112 Jun 24 13:23 FC4-i386-disc1.iso
-rw-rw-r-- 1 ashwin ashwin 446318592 Jun 24 13:23 FC4-i386-disc2.iso
-rw-rw-r-- 1 ashwin ashwin 0 Jun 19 19:43 FC4-i386-disc3.iso
-rw-rw-r-- 1 ashwin ashwin 0 Jun 19 19:43 FC4-i386-disc4.iso
-rw-rw-r-- 1 ashwin ashwin 0 Jun 19 19:43 FC4-i386-rescuecd.iso
-rw-rw-r-- 1 ashwin ashwin 0 Jun 19 19:43 SHA1SUM
the file size as reported in the official download server is :
[ ] FC4-i386-disc1.iso 06-Jun-2005 22:54 635M

(the difference , as u might hav known, is because of conversion from Bytes to MB)

Now the question is how do i verfiy the packets as they arrive before the are downloaded. So that i don't have to wait for several hours to download a iso only to find its has to send to the trash.

with regards,
ashwin

The packets themselves are checksummed over the net, but I think the problem is more likely data corruption at one end or the other, or a bad sha1sum on the website. They don't provide an md5sum as well, do they?
