Question How to use "User Mount Tool"?

Hi
when i click on Application > System Tools > Disk Management

"There are no filesystem which you are alloed to mount or unmount.Contact your administrator"

I have 2 HDD, an IDE (80GB /) and a SATA (160GB windows)

and 2 DVD writer IDE and SATA.

in my IDE hard drive i have some ext3 partition (storage-archive-multimedia)

i've mount them by editing fstab file.

Is the user option specified in the fourth field of the /etc/fstab entry?

There's yer problem.

By default, only root can mount a file system. You need to add the user option: man mount.

Once again as in another post you've made, please explain in detail what drives you have and if they are already formatted for linux. If they are, then have you added them to /etc/fstab already? If you have not then you will need to add them there so that you can also add the option for "any user" to mount that drive. The GUI tool is giving you this error b/c your user does not have admin privileges to mount any drives. You "grant" those privileges via /etc/fstab. But you can't "grant" those privileges until you've added a line for each of those drives to that file. Get what I'm saying?
