Use Preferences / Desktop Switching Tool or from the command line, type:switchdesk

Hello I was having the same problem, do this. Log in as root then go to this directory "etc/sysconfig" and open the file called "desktop" with a editor like Kwrite of something and change GNOME to KDE and thats it your done now log back in as a normal user before you break something :)
