How to Reconfigure the entire system......
HI all,
I am using Fedora Core 2 which i had installed on a config.
AMD 1600+
ATI Radeon 9500
KT266A MOBO
Now i carried my hard disk and hv connected to a new system rig:
Pentium 4 3Ghz
Intel 865 mobo
with integrated Video card.
Can i use the same installed FC2 with the new rig.
I can only log into the prompt, when i execute a command "Startx" it doesnt go into GNOME GUI.
The problem is that i cant install FC2, bcoz i am missing my CD1.
So plz let me know if i can Reconfigure my system for FC2 without installing the FC2 again.
Thanks for ur upcoming advices.
Have a Nice day.............

I believe you can boot up and then edit the .conf settings. It should prompt you to remove configuration or save the new settings. Does this help?

yes you can use it. you just have to reconfigure X. use xorgcfg or xorgconfig. fc2 is xorg right? you don't need the cd's.

you can look in /usr/X11R6/bin and look for stuff with cfg and config in the name and try to run those.
