how to read SATA serial drive (scsi) in Fedora

I installed Fedora on a normal (P-ATA) hard drive.

I had previously installed Windows XP on a serial (scsi) drive (/dev/hde).

This serial drive is found when installing Linux (i.e. partitioning) but I can't get it to boot from GRUB as a dual boot option and I am forced to change bios boot options to boot to Windows. Now sometimes the PC freezes on boot and I must reboot.

I had no problem with Mandrake 10 but Fedora needs more configuration here.

Any suggestions welcome.
John.

Edit:
I solved one problem: mounting the partitions of scsi drive. Reinstalled and mounted them giving each a name. Perhaps if I had chosen the option of placing GRUB on the other (scsi) drive it would have beeen able to boot either drive.

I'm OK for now.
JB.
