How to install cvs DRI snapshot in Fedora core 1

After a long search, I have DRI snapshot containing the following folders:
extras
lib
programs
Everything is in source code with the makefiles. I currently have no DRI with my sis6326 video card so I wish to install the files for DRI support. I do not know how well it works or if it can be uninstalled if there is a problem. There is a text file in each folder, but they deal with the nuts and bolts at the chip level. I would like to know where to make and install the files and how to edit the xfree86.0.log file if an entry is needed for the driver to work.
