how to eliminate prelink messages while running the script

Hi,

i am running couple of commands in a for loop...like
for i in $packagename; do
rpm -qi <packagename>
rpm -ql <packagenaem>
done

there are 1000 packages.I am redirecting the whole output into a file(in current directory).
The script is running fine. The output also achieved.

But the problem is whenever the script executing ...
it is gving the some messages like:

prelink: /tmp/#prelink#.eqBJ8y: Recorded 7 dependencies, now seeing -1

prelink: /tmp/#prelink#.C1ePbN: Recorded 32 dependencies, now seeing -1

prelink: /tmp/#prelink#.oMtyCR: Recorded 12 dependencies, now seeing -1

prelink: /tmp/#prelink#.GfthsY: Recorded 15 dependencies, now seeing -1

My questions are:
1.what are these messages and why it is giving?
*** 2.how can i eliminate those msgs while running my script?

Can you please help me.

You can redirect error messages to some other place using
Code:
./myscript.sh 2>/dev/null
In this case error messages are directed to /dev/null and thus you're not seeing them anymore. I'm assuming that prelink messages are errors, of course.

Other options are piping output for example to grep and grepping those nuisances out with
Code:
myscript.sh | grep -v prelink > output.file
