Thumbs up How to create a RPM from a Shell script

Dear Friends,
I have written a simple shell script. This is for migrating mysql database to sqlite database. Works fine. Now I would like to convert this script to RPM. Please give me the guidelines to make this RPM.

Thanks in advance

rpmdevtools

Hello bipinkdas,

I found that you need the rpmdevtools to create an rpm and since there are a handful of things to check before creating an rpm I would give you some useful links(and yeah the documentation isn't really good)

http://www.rpm.org/max-rpm
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging/Guidelines
http://en.opensuse.org//SUSE_Build_Tutorial
http://genetikayos.com/code/repos/rp...-tutorial.html

I hope the above links can help you.

Cheers,

Vangelis
