How to configure new device in fedora?

Hi,
As Kudzu configures all of the devices in fedora,i need to know when a new device is added, how to configure it?
Will the kudzu automatically detect it or else we have to do that manually.
I am so confused.
Hoping for the help.
Bye
Narasimha

Specifically what device are you trying to install? I haven't had a problem with FC2 installing any devices that I have plugged in, eg Printers HP Laserjet 1200, Creative Soundblaster External Modem, Logitec Quickcam 4000. Various network devices.

I did once have a problem with a Gigabit network card but managed to get the drivers for it, installed them and then ran kudzu again.

As long as you device is on HCL then you should be OK.

There doesn't seem to be a consistent HCL for fedora but its worth Googling for the answer.

Hope this helps
