i finallly installed fedora core3on my system.
some of my (dumb)queries...to linux pundits
1.how do i compile simple c programs,(like a.c)
I know it is cc a.c
but the problem is i dont have that cc command at all!!
when i typed c and pressed TAB in the list there was no cc
Shouldnt it be already present on one of the folders(like bin or etc or whatever..)??
2.I deleted my top panel which has "Applications" etc... by right clicking on it and clicking delete(ooops!!)
How can I bring it back on?? i m suffering bcoz of that..

1. try gcc
2. try right clicking on the panel, and add to panel > main menu. it's been a while since I used gnome (assuming it's gnome you have), so the syntax might be slightly different.

Have you tried "gcc a.c"? If that doesn't work, then you'll need to install the gcc-<version> package for Fedora (and whatever other packages it requires). It would only be present if you chose to install it.
