how do I set up touchpad "tap" feature
I've just installed Fedora Core 2 and the basic system is working correctly but now I have to work on getting all the hardware working right. How do I get the touchpad to respond to "tap" clicks? I know this works in Linux for my computer, as I had it working in Mandrake 10.
I can't seem to find a hardware setup tool in Fedora, where I could select/install the correct mouse. I see there is a project for hardware tools, including a mouse tool. I tried installing the hwbrowser tool, but did not succeed. The initial FC2 install has an older parted version that conflicts with the newer one needed by hwbrowser and I am uncertain how to update this. (It doesn't seem to update with the yum update system.) |
You need to find out what chipset you are running, and who made that touchpad, and choose the proper mouse in XF86Config.
