how do I install an ubuntu package in fedora core?

I just bought a netbook that came with Ubuntu. I partitioned the drive so I can multiboot and have put Fedora Core 12 LXDE spin next to Ubuntu netbook edition. The netbook is System76 manufacturer and they have put all their drivers in a .deb package. How can I use this file in Fedora Core 12?

Most of the drivers should be available from the Fedora repos. There are utilities to use .deb on RPM systems and vice-versa. eg Alien will convert .rpm to .deb (maybe also the other way)

You can use alien
http://kitenet.net/programs/alien/
or extract the deb file using ar and tar, and install by hand

You are advised to try to find a solution by using Fedora packages. It is possible to convert Debian packages, but Debian and Fedora have a different concept in terms of storing and handling configuration files and applications. These could cause subtle and difficult to trace problems later on.
