how do i enter the desktop from the command prompt????
hi, since i have an lcd monitor, i installed fedora 6 through text mode, and now that the installation is done. i get into command mode, how do i get to desktop from here?
hi, i typed startx, and since i've got an lcd monitor, the screen went blank and it said "OUT OF RANGE".
how do i get out of this? do i have to connect a CRT monitor , and change the display settings then reconnect my lcd, or is there a better way through the command prompt?
Whilst logged into the command line, do "su -" to switch to root and then run "system-config-display".
ya i was loged in as root, and i've heard of this system-config-display.. real quick if you dont mind, after i type that what should i type after that?
if you dont mind, can you give me the complete info i should type in? im so desperate to get this thing working, and say goodbye to windows forever!
