How can I share my printer with Windows machines?

My Canon bubblejet works just fine locally. However, I need to make it available on my network for my Windows laptop (work machine). I enabled sharing using the Gnome option (System->Administration->Printing) and allowed access by anyone. However, my Windows XP laptop cannot find it.

I have no firewalls running and I installed support for Unix print servers on the Windows machine...

Any and all help will be appreciated!

The easiest way is to use Samba to share the printer, that way it'll appear as a network printer when you browse the network through Windows' network neighbourhood.

You can set it all up through the app

Code:

system-config-samba
Of course - you'll have to have the samba server installed. If you haven't you'll have to install it of your CD/DVD or download it.
