1) if you delete FC3 XP isn't going to notice the difference (because it simply cannot 'see' linux.

The only problem you might encounter is if you're using Grub (the bootloader that FC3 wanted to install on your MBR. If that is the case, first read up on how to reinstall the windows bootloader (keyword: fixmbr).

If you're using the windows bootloader to start linux (less likely) you may want to remove the FC3 entry in the bootloader exactly the same way you added it when you started to use FC3

2) Erasing a non-linux partition will not affect the functioning of FC3, BUT if you delete the partition or otherwise alter the partition table you may run in problems with the bootloader. Read up on Grub in this case. Grub needs to know what partition to start the linux system from, so if you change the partition table (not the data on the windows partition, but the partition table itself) it may look for FC3 in the wrong place. It's easy to understand: at this moment Grub loos for FC3 on the second partition of the hard disk. If you delete the partition, FC3 will effectively be on the first partition. Changing this is easy, but you'd better do it before you make the change. If not you'll have to get into your system in rescue mode, mount the FC3 system and then change Grub.

It may sound complicated, but it really isn't very difficult and there are numerous good posts on the forum explaining this in finer detail.

boot with a knoppix cd or FC3 cd and type:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda

if /dev/hda is ur disc or replace it with hdb

That is the answer. Simply erasing the information on the XP partition will not affect Linux as long as you're using the linux bootloader.

xp gone the linux stop working

i reinstalling the xp and the linux stop quit putting is message and now i get only the xp on the start up?
how am i fix that?

By installing Xp you have overwritten the MBR with the Xp boot loader. Find a rescue disk, get back into your linux system and reinstall either Grub or Lilo.
