help with setting up services?

Hi all

I've got a remote virtual server running FC2, and I need to set up a new service (lighttpd). I've added the default startup script into /etc/init.d, and ran ntsysv to get it to run at startup, but its not listed. Do I need to "register" this new service before it'll appear in the list?

Thanks.

i've not used ntsysv for years now.. thought it was obselete...

anywho, if you're sure that the script successfully responds to stop and start calls, and the script is executable, then all you really need to do is add a symlink into /etc/rc3.d/ or /etc/rc5.d depending on which runlevel you boot to.
