Do you have the right usb driver loaded in your kernel? Is it usb2? What type of usb devices are you talking about? Mouse? Storage?

Maybe fedora is looking for the mouse in the wrong spot and it's causing the x server to freak out, somehow freezing your system. During install, did you have everything plugged in the way it is now?

I could only start the installation without the usb devices plugged. After the first section i use to plug them and then it recognize all the devices during the installation.

What should i do if it is an x servers problem?
