Do you have the right usb driver loaded in your kernel? Is it usb2? What type of usb devices are you talking about? Mouse? Storage?

my optical mouse and my isdn modem.
I am sur that my Kernel is set up as on my desktop which i am not having problems with this devices...

Do you think that hotplug does that?

Maybe fedora is looking for the mouse in the wrong spot and it's causing the x server to freak out, somehow freezing your system. During install, did you have everything plugged in the way it is now?

I could only start the installation without the usb devices plugged. After the first section i use to plug them and then it recognize all the devices during the installation.

What should i do if it is an x servers problem?
