help Compiled kernel destroyed system-config-packages database
Hi,
Ok, here's my problem. I applied the ntfs patch and installed ndiswrapper. Then I compiled my kernel. I can now mount ntfs and use the wireless card. But, my installation is now so large that when I tried to download wine and compile it I ran out of room.
What I would like to do is remove the kde desktop environment and maybe some other miscellaneous packages I'm not currently using to make room for wine. But when I open system-config-packages, all the items have a [0/num] packages installed listed. How can I fix the db to reflect the true state of my machine?
Thanks in advance,
Barry
