the recommended ram is 192MB FC3

i plan to run it on a P2 350MHz system.. only for while until i buy another 875P system

so.. will things hang?

is it worth to buy more ram for this historical peace..?

If you planning to run X windows aka KDE or GENOME desktop a RAM is must! But if you just wish to use for some programming stuff (perl, shell, gcc) then it can be done with 32 MB ram + your CPU

I have 1 GIG ram on P4 desktop running both Debian and FC3 my lappy has 512 + 1.6 GHZ cpu with FreeBSD + XP + RHEL ws

"GENOME" I like that ... anyways you don't say how memory you have. If you have less than 192, then it is not even worth it. If you are new to linux, then you will not learn much by starting at the console, which is pretty much the best you can do with your hardware.

P2 probably uses PC100 memory, personally I do not think that is a worthwhile investment. Don't waste $$ on mem, but go ahead and try FC3, most likely you won't get very far. If you do get it installed be prepared for long and slow usage.
