gstreamer crash

i have a fresh (like 3 day old) install of fedora core 1. i decided to go with core 1 because i didn't want to deal with trouble.......

so i upgraded gstreamer and some other stuff to give sound-juicer and rhythmbox mp3 support, and it worked. then they both started crashing. just seg faults. i first saw it with sound-juicer, so i tried to open it from the console to see if it gave better info. it shows the initial gstreamer stuff then seg faults. thinking it was a gstreamer issue, i opened rhythmbox, and got the exact same thing. shows the initial gstreamer stuff then pops up a seg fault window.

any ideas?

i guess i fixed it, but im still wondering why it happened and if it will happen again. i just removed gstreamer (telling it to ignore deps) and reinstalled it.. now they seem to open fine

has anyone else had this? if so did you find out why
