Grub Bootloader Doesn't Run Before Windows

I have Both windows and fedora 4 linux on my computer. Linux is on my second hard drive.

The only problem I'm having with this, would be the boot up. I can't boot into fedora because Fedora bootloader didn't take the place of the windows boot and give me a choice menu like previous installs before it. Is there an alternitive method I can use to get a choice menu? can I use the Windows OS choice menu and some how add Linux to the list or can I manually load grub in there off a floppy disk that would install it? Also doing this without screwing up Windows. Data on my Windows drive is too larg to save on other media for backup.

check your BIOS for startup disk priorities. select the 2nd hard drive (your linux one u want to boot with the GRUB menu) as the 1st boot device (or 2nd if floppy/cd is 1st)

Did that fix your problem? I had a somewhat similar problem, but Windows and Fedora are on the same hard drive, just different partitions. I had to use linux rescue on the FC4 dvd, go in to fdisk, remove the bootable flag on the windows partition, and set the bootable flag on the linux boot partition (since I didn't install on the MBR). Works great now!
