GNOME Panel Question - location of settings

I am trying to understand the layout / location of where GNOME exects to find its panel settings. I am using GNOME 2.10 on FC4

One of the things I like to understand is if I create a new panel (orient Right) and load it up with App Launchers where is this data stored? I assume it is in my 'home' directory, but can't find the exact location. i thought it would be in .gnome2 or panel2.d.

How could I 'give' this panel to other users? backup the panel?

Thanks,
Kelly

Did you look in ~/.gconf (in your 'home' directory)?

Don't I use gconf-editor to manipulate these settings?
I did find the folder... but where would the fact that I added a panel and what launchers I placed on it be located down this path?

from home/kellyg/.gconf I have these folders:
apps
desktop
GNOME
system
-- Haven't been able to find it down this path.?

I did figure out that launchers added to panels get added to /home/kellyg/.gnome2/panel2.d/default/launchers
no matter which panel I add them to. So I guess I just don't understand where the other settings are located.
Such as what new panels has this user created?
What is this panel's screen orientation, width, etc....

Thanks for your help,
Kelly
