Gnome Desktop Navigation

Is there any way to change Gnome so that double clicking on a directory opens it in the same window instead of opening a new one? I looked on Google and found a rant that said it was possible but that the option was hidden in Gnome 2. It didn't elaborate on where the option could be found but I am hoping someone here might know. In case it matters, I am using an up to date version of FC3.

Go to

Applications > System Tools > Configuration Editor

Open the "apps" item

Scroll down to the "nautilus" item and open that

Select "preferences"

Check "always use browser" in the right window pane

That worked. I had looked through there before but apparently didn't know what I was looking for. Now, is there any way to change the size of the icons displayed in the toolbar of the file browser window? I saw a toolbar icon size option with a value of 75 (pixels I assume) but changing the value doesn't seem to have any effect, even after logging out and then back in. Does this value only accept certain values, like existing icon sizes for example? If so, what values will work? The key didn't have a description for it.
