giFT and OpenFT problem
 
I get: "GIFT-FATAL: couldn't load protocol in file /usr/local/lib/giFT/libOpenFT.la: file not found"

any ideas?

Hey if I remember correctly, theres a well-commented config file in your home directory. It may be under in .gift. In there you might be able to edit the location of your openft plugin. Of course you'll have to find the plugin first. I think there's a configuration utility that you can execute from a terminal that goes through the configuration step by step.

Also, have you looked into using Apollon as a front-end. Its awesome. It a qt/kde app that is simply awesome. I like as good as kazaa except i havent found a way to block certain ips as does kazaa. The fastrack plugin rules as well. check em out. One other thing. Im certain mandrake 9.2 rpms are available from Penguin Liberation Front. They will probably work in fedora. And I just noticed on the sourceforge page for apollon that you can download an all-in-one installer now.

meanwhile I got limewire and it is fantastic. better than kazaa, mule, donkey etc.
