I downloaded the ISO image for the gEDA suite, burned it onto a CD using Alchol 120%. I downloaded the ISO image for the gEDA suite, burned it onto a CD using Alchol 120% and I ran into two problems, (or they are one and the same).
First, the cd automounts but will not autostart.
Second, if I try to execute the installer directly using “/media/CDROM/installer” I get an error “/usr/bin/env sh bad executable”.
I tried the following:
I can read all the files on the CD
I downloaded another ISO and tried it, same problem
I tried to run the install script with verbose, and get another error (didn’t record it)
I do not believe I am the first person to install gEDA on Fedora 5, any suggestions would be appreciated, even if it is to “RTFM” if you would be so kind as to direct me to the “FM”.
