GDM Login manger configuration

I've noticed that on the gdm login screen I have the options to shutdown/reboot without having to authenticate. Is there a way to force gdm to prompt for the root password before allowing options on the actions menu to be executed? I believe my previous debian installation was configured that way.

Thanks,
Tony

What distribution are you using? You need to go to the login screen configurator (GDM Setup) and go to security and disable "show actions menu". I don't know if that will ask normal users for a root password though.

I'm using FC3. If I disable show actions menu, I believe it takes them out of play totally, such that they aren't accessible by anone...root or otherwise.
