gdb on Fedora 1

I have been trying to find a way to provide a back trace for a crash I am experiencing with gstreamer. Bugzilla sent me to a site re: bug-buddy and gdb. downloaded gdb ver 6.1 and extracted onto my desktop where it sits in a folder. How do execute an install of gdb to my system so I can get a back trace? I tried to find a bug trace resident on my installation disks but to no avail. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right place. HELP!!!

Thanks (in advance)

Try this:

Open a terminal and type gdb (application name) and enter.
