gcc: command not found

Everytime I try to use the make command on my FC5 notebook, I get this:

[root@dfwhfnm341 ieee80211-1.1.14]# make
/bin/sh: cc: command not found
Checking in /lib/modules/2.6.17-1.2157_FC5 for ieee80211 components...

I am trying to load the drives for the intel 2200 wireless, the ieee package. What is happening? I assume I need to load some package to get the gcc command? Please advise.

Yes, you need to install the gcc-<version> package for Fedora. gcc is the GNU C compiler. You should be able to get it using yum, or on Fedora's CDs/DVD.
