fvwm

hi, anybody managed to get fvwm working properly on FC3? I know there are rpm's at www.fvwm.org (the 2.5.11 rpm's). They do install however I don't get an entry on my gdm menu... anybody who has successfully got it right please reply.

thanks ;-)

I've never used it myself, but Fedora comes with a Red Hat utility called switchdesk. Try typing 'switchdesk fvwm' into the console, and it should switch your default WM to FVWM.

Also, if you want to add it to your GDM menu, I believe the files which tell GDM what to include are in /usr/share/xsessions/. You should be able to create a .desktop file in that directory, using the ones already in there as a model.
