ftp command line


Hi

I want to download a lot of files from the same dirctory which have the form:

MOD02.A2004*.hdf

When i use mget, it force me to type so many y answer.

Do you know other way, with what i don't need to type such much. As when you download one file with get command.

you have to turn the "prompt" option off.
when ftp is launched, type
ftp> prompt

You get
ftp> interactive mode off.

Then you can do your mget.
You can also look for GUI based ftp, such as gftp, which handle all these taks automatically.

Also, you can try another command-line FTP client such as ncftp. I like ncftp very much, because it is easy to use and has some very nice features. You can download multiple files, entire directory trees, and do background downloads that do not require you to be logged in or anything. Ncftp is made to be user friendly and it really is.

I have downloaded 8GB of ISO images from my house without even beeing loged in! Oh, and if you get disconnected, ncftp will automaticly restart the download whenever the connection is available again...
