Hi!
I've downloaded the Fedora 8 live-cd, and have tried to boot it on my hp pavilion zv5000, nVidia graphic card (although I would be surprised to learn that this is the actual problem!). It booted ok, the "fedora" image appeared, I selected the default option, but it freezes right after the 'start udev:' line appears... The iso is not corrupted at all - I checked it - ; plus, it works on a Dell inspiron 9400.
Any idea what causes that, or how to launch the live-cd anyway?
I'd like to install it. Any chance it will work if I install it using the DVD graphic installation?

You sure that udev just doesn't take longer to start on the pavilion zv5000?

Thanks for your reply. But I waited for two hours... Plus, when I left my computer, there was no noise, and so was there when I came back - which probably means that neither the cpu nor anything else cared about this udev problem !
Do you think it means that I don't have a chance to get it boot?
Do you know anybody that did get his fedora copy work on a similar machine?
