freeroute.jnlp & kicad

Anybody got these working in F-18? I have the electronic spin, there's a pcb router and it's not playing ball. It's supposed to run from the browser. It's actually installed in /usr/bin. but it doesn't run and I can't find an error message :-(.

Well put this one down to ignorance on my part.

Freeroute.jnlp is xml; it grabs route.jar, which needs java. I clicked away where it told me to, and got openjdk; But openjdk needs icedtea, and nobody mentioned that!
