FlashPlayer does work in Firefox

F17, Firefox won't play flash videos.

Firefox-14.0.1

flashplayer-plugin-11.2 r202

libflashplayer.so link is in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins.

What is the RPM command to determine what dependencies Firefox and flashplayer-plugin uses .

rpm can't tell you what the Firefox application uses.

The plugins directory for Firefox is more likely in /usr/lib/firefox (or firefox-<version>) rather than /usr/lib mozilla. The documentation from Firefox for Linux is horrible which is funny given that they're an open source project themselves. They seem very Windows centric.

You can see more information about plugins for Firefox in Firefox drop down under Add-Ons.

I have another F17 box that is running Flashplayer and the plugin is linked in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so not /usr/lib/firefox.

I think my problem is a install or dependency problem.

Solved: FlashPlayer doesn't work in Firefox

I tried that but it didn't work.

What did work was I downloaded ferdorautils.rpm from http://www.fedorautils.sourceforge.net and installed.
It fix the Flashplayer for me.
