flash player


my flash player will not work or rather it will just show me a play arrow but if i get a advertisement with the play arrow and i click the arrow it will show the darned ad but nothing else will play like utube or pogo or any think like that

Which browser are you using? Are you using a 32bit or 64bit distro?
You may have better luck if you use the livna repository for media applications. There is a sticky
at the top of this forum on how to add a livna repo.

Also check if you have a Plugin like noscript, or if your java/javascript policies may be blocking the next download. It may be trying to use javascript to play the next part.

If you use Firefox, you might want to look at the DownloadHelper addon. It will download the flash videos and even use mencoder or ffmpeg to convert them to AVIs or MPGs depending on your preferences.
