Question Firewire & Fedora Core 2 Final

Anybody got firewire working on the new FC 2 FINAL. I read somewhere that they shipped it with a broken firewire module and turned it of. There is a fix I tried it but still it can't see my firewire (Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller). Any hints or help is much much accepted.

Kind Regards

Firewire & Fedora Core 2 Final

I'm currently trying the fix mentioned here:

I hasn't exactly worked for me yet. If I have my firewire drive plugged in at boot up, my system stays at "Checking for hardware".

You might have better luck.

So...what I'm understanding is that FC2 is not currently supported right? and they should release a fix right? if so i've been waisting my time trying to figure it out when it is not supported. well thank you.

I downloaded the 2.6.6 kernel and compiled it with Firewire support and it works well.
