Hi again,

Iwas surprised. After the system boots up (in ro mode), I tried this:
# grep " ro " /proc/mounts
/dev/root / ext3 ro 0 0

and this:
# grep " / " /proc/mounts
rootfs / rootfs rw 0 0
/dev/root / ext3 ro 0 0

So there is two line for mountpoint "/" ...


Any idea ?
What is "LABEL=/" ?

Solution

Like Alexander, the Conqueror I have the following solution:
(probably not so nice solution)

I changed the grub and fstab items from "LABEL=/" to "/dev/hda1" (or /dev/root may good because of symlink).

(I think the issue occured because of HAL daemon. )

what indicated to you that this is realted to the HAL deamon?

Iam not sure, but HAL daemon has a fstab-sync script installed. And this is do something (remounts) ...
But I didn't check, how the error was occured.
