Fedora versions...running proc/version

I run the command cat /proc/version and I get this...

Linux version 2.4.22-1.2199.nptl ( (gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.3-6)) #1 Wed Aug 4 12:25:07 EDT 2004

Is this FC2?? How come some get 3.2.3-6.fc2


My boot log does need to change to use the 2.6 kernel...whats up

whats the command "uname -a" say ?

you can find out the release with the command:

more /etc/redhat-release

Had a problem with the upgrade...something happened to yum...something about update baseurl..I fixed my yum.conf ...did a yum upgrade and now it shows

Linux 2.6.9-1.11_FC2 #1 Sun Jan 2 15:49:30 EST 2005 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux

so we are good to go...I was worried for a minute...
